On Friday, July 17 th, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Couch took the stage at the HIFI Annex, where I stood in front of the crowd barrier with my camera ready to capture the moments. After a very successful debut album, Couch has been touring since November 2025. They brought their Big Talk Tour to Indianapolis, and they did not disappoint.
Despite the heat, humidity, and possibility of thunderstorms, they still managed to pack the outdoor venue with fellow music lovers. I have had the opportunity to see Couch perform live twice before, and their stage presence and energy are next level. With amazing vocals from their lead vocalist, Tema Siegel, and funky bass lines from Will Griffin, you are bound to start dancing. The party doesn’t stop there as Jared Gozinsky keeps the rhythm grooving behind the drum kit and Zach Blankstein on guitar and Danny Silverston on keys play out crazy melodies and chords.
You may think this is just your average band with the combination of all those instruments, but they have two more members that set them apart from any of the music we hear today. Eric Tarlin (saxophone) and Jeffrey Pinsker-Smith (trumpet) are the horn section of Couch, and they give you goosebumps with their crazy solos and countermelodies. Some of my personal favorite songs from Couch are “Jessie,” “Saturday,” “On The Wire,” and their funk cover of “Toxic.”

The opener for the show was an alternative/indie band called Six Foot Blonde. Their set was a perfect vibe for a summer evening with their rock-pop originals. The band is made up of six members who formed the band while in college at Indiana University. Some of their songs that I really enjoyed were “Landgirl,” “Lady,” and “Callin’ To Karma.” If you ever get the chance to see either of these two bands live, you will not be disappointed. Having the opportunity to photograph such amazing musicians was an honor, and I hope to capture them again in future performances.
