1. At what age did you realize that this was your true passion?

“I have always been musical, singing and writing songs from the moment I could. Throughout my teenage years I was always weighing up whether or not to pursue a ‘real job’, right up until the day I had to apply for university. It was then, at around 16/17 that I realised all I wanted to do was write music and I applied to study songwriting”.

2. What artist did you listen to most growing up?

“When I was younger I loved everything Disney channel. I was obsessed with Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus”.

3. What advice do you have for someone who is just starting out?

“Try and consume as much music as possible. Going to gigs or discovering up and coming artists on social media brings me so much inspiration. When I first started to take being a musician more seriously I had just started Uni, and being around musicians all day every day meant that I was just soaking up everyones styles and my writing improved so much in that first year”.

4. What is your favorite song that you've made?

“Every time I write a new song it’s my favourite, but of my releases it’s definitely Central London, my most recent single. I think the production and sound is definitely the most me of everything I have done. I also love the lyrical concept and chorus melody”.

5. If you could thank one or more persons right now who would it be and why?

“My boyfriend Charlie. He produced Central London and made it what it is. He inspires and motivates me every day (and just brought me a pot of green tea as I’m writing this)”.

6. Who do you see yourself collaborating with next?

“I would absolutely love to collaborate with one of my closest friends, Freddie Lewis, who is also a singer songwriter from Bristol”.

7. What has been your most memorable moment on this journey?

“Back in December 2020, I supported Freddie at his show in Bristol. It was my first gig with a full band and I got to play my new music to all my friends and family. People even flew in to the UK to come to watch me, which was so surreal and the most incredible feeling”.

8. If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?

“I would probably say to start my Youtube channel sooner/not delete the first channel I made. I first posted videos when I was 11 and feel like I could have gotten so much further with my channel if I didn’t stop then. I started again when I was 15, but the fear of being ridiculed in school stopped me from putting my all into it”.

9. What do you do to decompress?

“I love walking or driving and listening to new music. I’m also a true crime documentaries kind of girl. My favourite thing is to just leave my flat and grab a coffee somewhere and people watch. I could do it for hours”.

10. What advice do you have for someone who gets stuck on this journey?

“Collaborate!!! No matter how uninspired I am or how much writers block I think I have, the minute I’m in a session or Zoom with another artists the songs always come, and they are even better for it”.
